Balancing Screen Time with Analog Play
Screens aren't inherently bad. It's how we use them that matters. Here's our philosophy on digital tools.
The Infinite Scroll Problem
Most modern apps are designed to keep you on them forever. They use variable reward schedules (the same psychology as slot machines) to keep you scrolling, tapping, and watching. This is great for their ad revenue, but terrible for your brain.
Tools vs. Traps
A tool is something you pick up, use to accomplish a task, and put down. A trap is something that catches you and won't let go.
| Digital Traps | Digital Tools |

| Infinite feeds | Calculators |
| Auto-playing videos | Maps |
| Push notifications | Dice Rollers |
Why We Built Babdab
We built Babdab to be a collection of tools. When you need a Random Number, you come here, get the number, and then go back to what you were doing. We have no feeds. We have no accounts. We don't want you to stay here all day.
We want you to use our Coin Flipper to settle a debate, and then go enjoy the debate's resolution in the real world.
